TEDx started in Chico, CA in 2012 with an exciting event at Sierra Nevada Brewery called "Dreamers. Thinkers. Doers.". Since it's inception, the committee has organized another big event as well as two salons.  The aim of each TEDxChico gathering is to share "ideas worth spreading" and to bring the local community together by sparking discussions.

 

I've been involved with three TEDxChico productions as a committee member focused on marketing the event as well as coaching the speakers. I was also the MC during the 2015 TEDxChico Salon- Disrupt.

 

Working with the speakers is by far the best part!  It's incredible to hear their inspiring stories and to help shape ideas into a TEDxChico talk. There are some amazing people in our local community and it's a treat to work with them!
